Joanna Gut is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from York University. Her professional experience includes individual counselling and working with individuals, families, and couples.
Joanna develops and implements best practices and growth strategies after conducting a preliminary assessment of each client. Working in collaboration with her clients, she implements basic treatment plans from the ground up.
Joanna’s primary modalities of treatment include:
- Hypnotherapy – Hypnotherapy can be used to treat anxiety
- Substance abuse, including tobacco
- Sexual dysfunction
- Undesirable spontaneous behaviors
- and bad habits
Joanna’s therapeutic programs can help improve sleep, treat learning disorders, and increase communication with others which helps with relationship issues. Hypnotherapy can aid in pain management and help resolve medical conditions such as digestive disorders, skin issues, and gastrointestinal side effects of pregnancy and chemotherapy.
Joanna offers client centered counselling and considers her patients’ concerns within the greater context of their lives. Joanna and her clients work together to set goals for therapy and establish mutually-agreed-upon solutions. She believes everyone has untapped strengths which can be unlocked to help them achieve their therapeutic goals.
