Gloria Segovia
Gloria Segovia has over fifteen years’ experience and thousands of hours of clinical social work providing psychotherapy to children, youth, families, and couples. She has worked in private practice as well as in the hospital sector. As an educator, she supervises masters-level social work students in their practicum through York University, and she supervises master level clinicians and qualifying psychotherapists as part of her role as a clinical director.
Christian Zappulla
Christian Zappulla has over seven years of experience supporting children, young people, and families in the field of Child and Youth Care. His work has focused on amplifying the development, confidence, and skills of children and young people through relational work. He has experience doing individualized social, emotional, behavioural, life, and academic programming for children and young people with disabilities within foster care, group home, and school settings.
Christian is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and is an accredited Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Master Trainer. Since 2016, he has trained various agencies, communities, and programs across Ontario in suicide first aid.
Christian utilizes his passion for teaching, relational qualities, and experience to deliver a safe, engaging, and unique learning experience for anyone who seeks greater understanding and confidence in applying life-saving skills for people who may be and / or are at risk of suicide.
Victoria Brandolisio
Victoria Brandolisio is a Registered Social Worker with over ten years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and families in therapeutic settings. Victoria has a diploma in Child and Youth Work from Sheridan College as well as her Bachelor of Social Work degree from York University. Victoria is good standing with the Ontario College of Registered Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
Victoria’s experience as a Child and Youth Worker has laid a solid foundation for her current style of practice as a Social Worker, as well as the love for a good story. Victoria has had the privilege of supporting people in all walks of life and through all walks of life. For Victoria this has ingrained the importance and need for compassion, curiosity, and flexibility.
Victoria’s most recent experience includes supporting those in motor vehicle accidents through individual counselling. These experiences can truly be life changing and difficult to speak about. Victoria has supported people struggling with PTSD, Anxiety, Chronic Pain, Depression, Grief, as well as other adjustment disorders. Victoria provides support through a Biopsychosocial framework and understands that healing does not look the same for everyone. Victoria is very resourceful and has a toolbox full of possible techniques and strategies that may help with what you’re going through.
Victoria is a student of life and loves to learn from others through their life experiences. Victoria loves to listen to stories – the good, the not so good, the long, the short, the old, and the new. Victoria believes that sharing your story can be very healing, and prides herself in creating a safe space for those looking to share.
Working one-on-one with children and youth to assist in the process of making their days run more smoothly and teaching basic life skills so that they are able cope with make different and difficult situations that they may encounter day to day.
Child and Youth Worker
Victoria has been working as a Residential Counsellor and Child and Youth Worker with Peel Childrens Aid Society since Feb 2014 which is almost ten years. She serves clients in Brampton and Mississauga running different day-treatment and residential programs to support patients during times of crisis as well as during times of play and learning. Victoria has a lot of passion for helping children and youth in times of crises.
