The AERCS Thinking Self Program: Unlock Your Child’s Potential

Psychotherapist Gloria Segovia.

I’m Gloria Segovia, the founder of AERCS, and it’s with a sense of happiness that I announce a new program that’s important to many – The AERCS Thinking Self Program. In today’s fast-paced world, the mental and emotional well-being of our children is more important than ever!

The AERCS Thinking Self Program.

The AERCS Thinking Self Program is specifically designed for children and tweens. This unique program offers an enriching journey into self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and practical skills necessary for personal growth.

Explore the Wonders of the Teenage Brain…

Session #1 Highlight: The Teenage Brain Neurology.

Our program kicks off with an insightful exploration into the teenage brain, delving into how it develops, functions, and responds to the world. Understanding the neurological changes during these critical years can empower your child to harness their brain’s potential for learning, emotional regulation, and problem-solving. This session provides a foundational knowledge that helps tweens and teens appreciate the ‘why’ behind their feelings and reactions, setting the stage for mindful self-regulation and enhanced learning abilities.

Navigate Emotions and Thoughts with the Cognitive Triangle…

Session #2 Highlight: The Cognitive Triangle.

The Cognitive Triangle is a cornerstone concept in cognitive-behavioral therapy that illustrates the interconnectivity between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Our facilitators guide participants through real-life scenarios, teaching them how to identify and adjust unhealthy thought patterns. By understanding this powerful relationship, your child can learn to cultivate positive thoughts, manage emotions effectively, and exhibit constructive behaviors, ultimately leading to healthier interactions and personal well-being.

Foster Safety and Boundaries on Social Media…

Session #3 Highlight: Social Media Safety and Boundaries.

In our digital age, social media is a vibrant part of everyday life, especially for the younger generation. This session focuses on the critical aspects of online safety, privacy, and the importance of setting boundaries. Participants will learn strategies to navigate social media responsibly, recognize online risks, and use digital platforms in a way that promotes positive self-expression and communication without compromising their safety or integrity.

Apply and Integrate New Skills…

Session #4 Highlight: Application of Techniques Learned.

The final session of our program is dedicated to applying all the skills and knowledge your child has gathered throughout the course. Participants will engage in interactive activities and scenarios that challenge them to use their new tools in real-world contexts. This hands-on approach ensures that they leave the program not only with new insights but with the ability to practically apply them in their daily lives, enhancing their overall resilience and capability.
